Exciting news for students and learners as the JAMB Registration Portal for 2024 is now open! 

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME Registration 2024) and Direct Entry (DE) application schedule, also known as Jamb Registration 2024, has been declared, and the portal is currently accessible. 

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced that the UTME registration is ongoing and will conclude on February 26, 2024. Sales of Direct Entry application documents and E-pin vending will begin on February, Wednesday 28th and close on Thursday, March 28th, 2024.

This post is to help you learn about the registration fees, the process for UTME Registration 2024, and the examination timetable. You can access the Jamb portal at www.jamb.gov.ng for both enrollment processes and exam-related information.

Key dates for the 2024/2025 Jamb Registration and examination:

– UTME candidate registration is ongoing and is expected to conclude on February 26, 2024.

– Direct Entry (DE) candidate registration starts on February 28th and is planned to end on March 28, 2024.

– Mock-UTME is scheduled for March 7th, 2024, while the main UTME will take place from April 19th to April 29th, 2024.

– Candidates can print their examination slips starting from April 10th, 2024.

To know your exact examination date and centre, you may be required to reprint your JAMB slip later on at some point in the registration process.

At this juncture, it is important to point out that applicants must now provide their National Identity Number (NIN) before registering for the 2024 JAMB examinations as a compulsory step by JAMB.

Jamb Registration Fees for 2024:

– UTME/DE form: N3,500

– Approved CBT service charge: N700 (to be paid directly to JAMB)

– CBT service charge for MOCK/UTME: N1,500

– Bank charges: N500

Candidates not sitting for the mock will pay N6,200, while those sitting for the mock will pay N7,700.

Registration Steps for 2024 JAMB UTME

To register for the 2024 JAMB examination, follow these steps:

  1. Obtain your NIN before proceeding with UTME Registration 2024. (It is now compulsory that you get your NIN to allow for the 2024 UTME Registration.
  2. Create your Jamb Profile; an easy way is using the JAMB  USSD code by simply dialling *55019*NIN# or *66019*NIN#, where you then get to receive your generated 10-digit unique profile code.
  3. Alternatively, visit portal.jamb.gov.ng/E-facility and click on ‘Sign up for UTME/DE’ to create your Jamb profile. It is compulsory to register your Jamb profile before you buy the 2024 registration form (e-PIN).
  4. Have a valid email address for communication with Jamb; you may not frequently use the email but subsequently, you must have a valid email address for communication with Jamb about the examination. (JAMB recommends Gmail for quick delivery and alternatively Yahoo mail. You may also need this to access the JAMB portal). 
  5. Check Jamb iBass for eligibility before proceeding; it is recommended that you check your eligibility before you proceed to register for your UTME.
  1. Purchase an e-PIN online or at accredited banks and other selling points; With your 10-digit unique profile code, you can proceed to buy your Jamb 2024 e-PIN online, or at participating banks nationwide (with the list below) and other selling points.
  1. Visit Accredited CBT Centre; Visit an accredited CBT Centre with your personal details, Jamb profile, and e-PIN or Code to complete your registration.

Jamb e-PIN Selling Points:

Candidates can approach or use any of the under listed selling points to purchase their e-Pin.

  • NIPOST: Check with post offices nationwide
  • Participating Commercial Banks: (ACCESS, ECOBANK, FIRSTBANK, FCMB, FIDELITY, JAIZ, SKYE, STERLING, UNION, UNITY and ZENITH)
  • Mobile Money Operators: Paga, e-Tranzact (PocketMoni), TEASYPay and Packway Projects (Readycash)
  • Participating Micro Finance Banks: FUD MFB (Dutse) and Regent MFB (Abuja)
  • Online Payment Platforms: SystemSpecs (Remita) and InterSwitch (Quickteller) POS (CitiServe)
  • ATMs: Use the ATMs of banks listed above (InterSwitch)
  • USSD: (NIBSS & ERCAS) for mobile banking
  • Embassy: Nigerian Embassies in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Buea, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg and Londo
